The Edgewater Environmental Coalition is an all-volunteer group and registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We provide a variety of programs and services for the community, including but not limited to

 

• Educational and awareness-raising events around environmental topics

• Stewardship of existing green spaces, such as the Osterman Beach Natural Area and Vedgewater community garden

• Planting of new green spaces, such as pollinator gardens and native planters

• Periodic events for direct, sustainable action, such as holiday lights recycling and pumpkin composting

• Advocacy for sound environmental policy at both the local and state levels

 

With certain projects we apply for grants, but our primary funding source is donations — by community members like you! Donations to EEC (EIN 87-1224378) are tax-deductible under IRS rules. We have minimal administrative/overhead costs, so the vast majority of funding goes directly into our work.
