About the Event

Edgewater Environmental Coalition (EEC), in partnership with the Community Air Research Experience (CARE) at Loyola University Chicago, would like to invite you to a poster presentation session on “Summer 2022 Air Quality Results” on October 1, 2022, at Loyola’s School of Environmental Sustainability.

Through CARE, Loyola University Chicago is partnering with the Edgewater Environmental Coalition and Southeast Environmental Task Force to engage undergraduate students underrepresented in the geosciences in authentic research that contributes to community discussions about how to improve air quality. In Summer 2022, CARE students installed 5  PurpleAir  sensors in the Edgewater neighborhood to measure particulate matter and analyzed that data using the scientific method. CARE students will report results from their analyses to help inform the community about the current air quality status in Edgewater.
