Updated: Feb 3, 2023

Hybrid event, in-person and virtual options, to bring climate and environment to the forefront of the 48th Ward alder election.

Time & Location

Feb 04, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Episcopal Church of the Atonement, 5749 N Kenmore Ave, Chicago, IL 60660, USA

Join EEC for a candidate forum on environmental issues. We will ask distinct & specific questions on topics from general sustainability, climate change, waste, transportation, development, housing, and community involvement. While the event will be livestreamed via Zoom and recorded for Youtube, we recommend attendance in-person as priority is being given to the in-person experience. Submit a question on the RSVP form. Any questions that aren't answered at the live event will be provided to the candidates in a follow-up survey to which we will publish the answers and share with the community. For joining in-person, the event is taking place in the church's 2nd floor "gym." Enter through the parish hall on Kenmore, south of the main entrance, sign says parish hall. There is street parking though we highly encourage walking/biking/transit. Election day is February 28, 2023. Reminder to make sure you are registered to vote here. Thank you to Jim with Glenwood Systems Inc. for the technical production and off-grid equipment setup! Glenwood Systems, Inc. is an independent video systems consulting firm, more information here.
