Find your June EEC Connections Here! 🌼

Updated: Jun 5, 2022

Hello EEC friends, community members, and environmental stewards. Below in this message, you will find the Thursday 6/9 6:30 pm meeting agenda with associated materials, and community connections, save the dates, and in case you missed it.

Make sure to note the new meeting day with extended time and a new format. Check out this blog on the change.

After the meeting, you are invited to hang out for a virtual celebration of Nick & Burton's last meeting before moving away and our new website launching!

At the meeting, Eva and Neil from REUSO are joining to share about the reusable packaging platform. Make sure to check out the agenda for all topics, including our 2022 campaigns on community resiliency, composting, and sustainability education resources.

Then, there are new EEC events we hope to see you at. We'll have booths at Eco-Fest at Welles Park, the Edgewater Monday Market, and Midsommarfest in Andersonville. Volunteer at Midsommarfest representing EEC and you're time spent will be a donation to us! Plus, a lakefront Summer Solstice event 6/21 (RSVP forthcoming). We look forward to seeing you soon!

Community Connections

Edgewater Chamber of Commerce Presents Monday Market

Edgewater’s Monday Market will once again bring fresh from the farm produce, unique artisanal goods and more! The market will provide the finest quality meats, fruits & vegetables, fresh pastries, and a tasty selection of prepared foods at the Broadway Armory Parking Lot, 5917 N Broadway. It will showcase 14 local vendors, including Farmer Nick’s, Parra Farms, Eternal Harmony and Tamales Express.

Last year, the Chamber moved the farmers market to Mondays to create less overlap in the crowded community market space. It also captures a commuter audience on their way home from work or as they make their way to the beach. The Monday Market allows attendees to round out their weekly grocery shopping.
