In our last meeting, we discussed the establishment of a new community garden and food forest, the Lakefront coalition's efforts to protect North Lakeshore Drive in the midst of potential expansion, and end-of-the-year events.

Seed Sharing and Saving Workshop

Share and save seeds with us and your neighbors on December 13th at our Seed Sharing and Saving Workshop! Bring seeds from your garden (if you have any!) and learn how to process seeds for saving. Also join us in processing seeds collected from local Parkways for Pollinators sites.

  • 48th Ward Participatory Budgeting for 2026 is happening now! The budget gets used for ward infrastructure improvements, and ideas can range from parks to crosswalks to public art. See information here.

  • Share your vision for Green Social Housing in your neighborhood by filling out this quick form!

  • See One Northside for information about supporting our immigrant neighbors via neighbor-to-neighbor solidarity, education, and community defense. They also offer know your rights trainings, risk reduction resources, ICE watch trainings, and more.

  • New Food Scrap Drop-Off Location: UPTOWN/ Uptown Library - 929 W Buena Ave You have the option to change your drop-off to a new location.
