Andersonville Native Plant Planters Program

Since 2020, EEC has collaborated with the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce and Andersonville SSA #22 to grow native plants in dozens of planters around the Andersonville business district, on Clark St. from Argyle to Hollywood. In addition to plants, most of the planters also feature educational signage.

The planters have hosted 20+ native species, including Anise Hyssop, Columbine, Purple Coneflower, Sweet Joe-Pye Weed, Wild Geranium, Prairie Smoke, Prairie Alumroot, Foxglove Beardtongue, Hairy Beardtongue, Prairie Phlox, Western Indian Physic, Eastern Pasqueflower, Blunt Mountain Mint, Starry Campion, ZigZag Goldenrod, Aromatic Aster, Short's Aster, Side Oats Grama, Bottlebrush Grass, Purple Love Grass, Little Bluestem, Common Wood Sedge, and Jacob's Ladder.
